Moving Complex Pain Cases Forward
The Rizor Institute moves cases forward clinically and financially by treating the physical, psychological, and functional components of chronic pain.
Our CARF-accredited Interdisciplinary Pain Management (IPM) program focuses on reducing total cost of care, avoiding unnecessary surgeries and repeat procedures, decreasing long-term opioid dependence, and restoring patient function and promoting return-to-work outcomes. We work with workers’ compensation carriers, case managers, plaintiff and defense attorneys, and referring physicians, and are strategically positioned to reduce both immediate and lifetime claim costs.
Short-Term Impact
- Interdisciplinary care coordination
- Intervention prior to escalation of high risk and cost procedures
Long-Term Impact
- Decreased opioid exposure
- Improved functionality
- Prompt claim resolution
Proven Outcomes that Matter to Your Case
In addition to these results, patients experience improved self-management and reduced ongoing medical utilization, resulting in better long-term claim stability.

Admission Criteria
We prioritize responsible utilization and clinical appropriateness through a structured intake process. Ideal candidates may have experienced:
- Chronic, non-malignant pain (≥ 3 months)
- Limited improvement with prior treatments
- Functional impairment affecting work and daily life
Patients must be medically and psychologically stable and motivated to participate, ensuring optimal outcomes and resource utilization. All candidates must complete a screening in collaboration with the referral source and payor that includes a multidisciplinary clinical review and medical and behavioral health assessment.
